Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Pursuit of Cobra Wave 3: Ninja Commando

Presenting Snake Eyes from G.I. Joe The Pursuit of Cobra Wave 3. AKA Snake Eyes Ninja Commando.

This is probably one of the more reviewed figures in the market, so I'll keep this review short and simple:  Yes, Snake Eyes comes with everything you see here in this picture. Yes, it's sheer over-kill - and that's not even everything that he has yet. This particular Snake Eyes feels like someone at Hasbro got so sick and tired of all the criticisms and reviews that previous Snake Eyes have received over the years - "Oh he should have this... Oh he should have that... Oh Snake Eyes won't leave home without this...." that the toymakers decided to throw in everything into one toy and let the fans sort it out. The bad news is.... after opening the package.... I had to ask "Where's Timber?" (In the distance I heard a gun go off as a toymaker offed himself cursing my name).

Yes, two swords, two knifes, a demo charge, an assault rifle, an UZI, a pistol and a ton of ammunition.

And still there's more!

Snake Eyes: Ninja Commando has a claymore sword - that's no katana (And that explains the lack of a scabbard), an extra head - choose between goggles and visor - oh and one more pistol. I'd like to point that while Snake Eyes has wonderful articulation, because his head pops off and can be replaced, he doesn't have the ability to look up and down.

What was really a treat with this particular Snake Eyes was the detail that went into it. Not only is the actual molding incredible, Snake Eyes: Ninja Commando comes with two silencers - allowing owners to choose whether or not to let Snake Eyes: Ninja Commando "Go Loud!" or "Stay Silent."

Each silencer easily slides/twists on and off to the end of Snake Eyes: Ninja Commando's UZI or to one of the pistols.

Another nice treat with Snake Eyes: Ninja Commando that you won't see in the G.I. Joe Pursuit of Cobra Beachhead (Wave 1) is that you can actually remove the shoulder mounted knife sheath. Owners of Beachhead have probably noted how the blade interferes with his use of this rifles. The same applies here, but happily you can simply remove the sheath.

Personally I do not believe that Snake Eyes: Ninja Commando was meant to go into battle carrying all the equipment he has or even both swords. I think that Hasbro really wanted to give users the ability to customize/personalize Snake Eyes Ninja Commando and therefore provided as many accessories to provide as many permutations of him as possible.

Personally I prefer Snake Eyes : Ninja Commando without the swords.

The G.I. Joe Pursuit of Cobra Wave 3 Snake Eyes Ninja Commando currently retails between PhP 1,000 to PhP 1,300 on the black market.

If I were you, trawl through ebay and you'll find bargain group buys where Snake Eyes: Ninja Commando is offered as a set because - while the accessories and sculpt is to die for - quite frankly he's not the best Snake Eyes to me.

I prefer the G.I. Joe Pursuit of Cobra Wave 1 Snake Eyes - which is the first Snake Eyes figure that shows his eyes. You can read about that particular Snake Eyes here.

  2. Para sa'kin yung Wave 1 Snake Eyes din ang mas maganda kesa dito. Di ko maintindihan yung hype nitong version na'to bukod sa dami ng weapons.
