G.I. Joe Retaliation figures in packages.

Our friends at Toy News International have posted two photos of the upcoming G.I. Joe Retaliation ToyLine.

I have to say that I'm starting to have mixed feelings about the toy-line. The packaging is less military and more movie based - I suppose we can let that slide, the Rock has to be paid after-all.

But here we are again with those huge weapons that are just a waste of plastic that most collectors simply pack away in a box.

And what's with that orange gun?

  1. Well, to quote myself

"Ugh.. colorful guns. I also wish they'd just stop making these corny spring launchers and use the plastic to mold and swarm each figure with more guns a la Wave 3 POC Snake Eyes."

    1. I think that they're torn between whether the biggest market for this is kids or adults which means that they're trying to please two markets. Unfortunately the "kid" market has a bunch of parents attached that demands that things are big enough not to be swallowed and things are colorful enough so that their children don't grow up in a war torn world.
