Battleground Teela

Presenting the Battleground Teela from the Masters of the Universe Classics line.

Teela is the first and only Masters of the Universe Classics figure in my collection. I chanced upon her at quite a low price on Ebay and because I thought that this version of Teela that I first saw in a comic-book over twenty years ago was hot, I just had to get her.

I mean what's not to like about the Battleground Teela? She practically looks like a female version of He-Man (Which means she is practically naked.)!

And for those who are thinking about it, yes, you can actually cajole that brassiere off of Battleground Teela's torso.

The bad news is she's anatomically ill-prepared. Feel free to modify her though should you wish.

The Masters of the Universe Battleground Teela comes with everything you see here: a sword - quite a nice one though, stiff and straight, not that flexible that can sheathed in her back in the manner that He-Man stores his sword; and a laser pistol.

Her blister card reads "Battleground Teela Heroic Heir to the Sorceress - Real Name: Teela. After being wounded by King Hsss' venom, the Sorceress of Greyskull knew her time was short. She quickly arranged a mission with Teela to the Elder's training citadel in the Polar Ice Cap. Here, the Sorceress revealed Teela's true heritage, that she was secretly her magically cloned daughter and destined to become the next guardian of the Castle Greyskull and its secrets! Although in a state of disbelief, Teela knew in her heart that her mother spoke the truth, and trained with the Sorceress until the venom at least overtook her. Returning to Greyskull as the new guardian, Teela uses her new magic to protect the Power of Greyskull and guard the safety of all Eternia." Girl Power!

What's to like about the Masters of the Universe Classics Battle-ground Teela?

Aside from the owner's ability to take off her top with not that much effort (There really in't much to say about her clothing by the way because she's not wearing much), The Masters of the Universe Battleground Teela has above average articulation - not on the par of the best Marvel Legends characters, but certainly not on par with the worst Marvel Legends characters. I'm particularly fond of her foot articulation which keeps her quite stable while you're posing her - check out her ankle joints.

As you can see here, Battleground Teela can dual wield her sword. She can also dual wield her laser pistol.

What's NOT to like about the Masters of the Universe Classics Battle-ground Teela?

Aside from her lacking nipples and the advanced articulation of a Marvel Legends figure i.e. she can't kneel, the Masters of the Universe Classic Battleground Teela has some issues thanks to how hard her hair is. It prevents some head movement.

But the biggest problem with the Masters of the Universe Classics Battleground Teela is the fact that she tends to look a tad bit... masculine. Which is I suppose fine in certain circles and if you don't mind your wiomen being realistically beefy.

Personaly I think she's sexy:

This particular Masters of the Universe Classics Battleground Teela was purchased from Ebay loose from Land_Orys for PhP 999.75 (Roughly US$ 22) . She is available on Amazon for US$ 40 (Roughly PhP 1,800 plus shipping).
