Optimus Prime Alternators Reprolabels

Presenting an Optimus Prime Alternators figure with a Fansproject TFX-ABT-01 upgrade and a Reprolabels mod.

We've reviewed this before and we have to say that we've never liked the Alternators Optimus Prime.

We bought the Fansproject TFX-ABT-01 rifle and matrix upgrade thinking that this would improve how we felt for this figure, but it didn't. The Alternators Optimus Prime was still fat, difficult to transform and poor in terms of articulation.

We looked at him and saw nothing more than an Optimus Prime with a big "Shoot me here" plate who could barely turn to face whoever was shooting at him.

Fat and boring and exiled to the back of the display case.

But now that we have his reprolabels, we just can't stop looking at him.

So what we have here is:

Old and Busted:                                                     New Hotness:

Old and Busted:                                                     New Hotness:

It really is surprising what a little splash of reprolabel yellow and silver can do to something so plain.

The Reprolabels of the Alternator Optimus Prime looks best in truck mode:

So Prime's front-bumper, sides, hood, seat-covers, rear window, fenders, roof, spoiler, license plate, gas tank cover and tailgate have been pimped out by Reprolabels. Oh and let's not forget the pierced nipples on the hood of Optimus Prime :)

Thanks to Reprolabels, our Optimus Prime Alternators is now no longer at the back of the shelf. You can order a set from Toyhax.com which will set you back US$ 14.00 (Roughly PhP 630) plus shipping. Worth every penny.
