WFC Optimus Prime Reprolabels

Presenting a War for Cybetron (WFC) Optimus Prime with upgrades by Reprolabels and a Dream makers Matrix, Battle Axe and weapons set.

We've actually featured the Dream Makers Warrior from Cyborgtron upgrade set before - which includes the transforming ax, chest modification which allows it to open up and reveal the Autobot Matrix of Leadership, what could be a WFC ion-blaster, and what could be a WFC Neutron assault rifle.

It's just that we were so disappointed with it because we the central screw that holds the chest-piece in place ate through the threads because we didn't realize that it was too big. Now it's stuck there and unless we drill it out, it will stay stuck.

Boo.

But then we got the Reprolabels! And we attached it to the WFC Optimus Prime armed with the Dream Makers Warrior from Cyborgtron upgrade, so there.

WHAT'S TO LIKE ABOUT THE WFC OPTIMUS PRIME REPRO-LABELS?

FIRST: The WFC Optimus Prime is one of our most favored Primes - that for some strange reason we never bothered reviewing. We honestly though that despite some inaccuracies in his design, that Hasbro did a very good job in recreating the physical form of the video game character.

Most of the flaws were in the detailing, and Reprolabels addressed these nicely. 

Among the new details that we now have in robot mode include the darker chestplate, the red piping glow panels and the Autobot logos on his shoulders. Here he is side-by-side with the stock WFC Optimus Prime taken from when we reviewed the Corbot V Battle Axe.

In vehicle mode, the most visible improvements to the WFC Optimus Prime are his new wheel hubcaps, the Autobot logo, and the silver smokestacks:




But the biggest improvement to the War for Cybertron Optimus Prime is his faceplate. He looks simply badass!

WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE ABOUT THE WFC OPTIMUS PRIME REPRO-LABELS?

FIRST: The Reprolabels for the WFC Optimus Prime are not the cleanest cut Reprolabels that we've seen. Their later work seems to be more precise. If you look at the closeups, you'll be able to see the white paper lining of the stickers left there by the cutting.

SECOND:  The Reprolabels do nothing to address the hollow portions of the hubcaps. If you want them to have a really clean look, you'll have to fill the legs first before you apply the hubcap stickers.

THIRD: We close on a note about the WFC Optimus Prime Dream Makers Warrior from Cyborgtron upgrade: We really love the way they designed his chest to open up and produce a Matrix of Leadership. The Autobot Matrix of Ledership is supposed to be an orange case enclosing a blue source of energy. Sadly, Dream Makers only provided the orange casing:
