Soooo this Angelina Jolie figure isn't in Lara Croft's trademark tank-top and short-shorts, as this action figure is based upon the appearance of Lara in Cradle of Life: Specifically when she went diving into the uncovered Luna Temple of Alexandra the Great under the waters next to Santorini island in Greece.

It's in the temple that she finds, fights for, and loses an orb which later will be revealed to be the map leading to Pandora's Box in the Cradle of Life.

The wetsuit clad Angelina Jolie/Lara Croft was used in promotional posters for the movie. The action figure comes with the harpoon pistol that came with her outfit, and a bolt-pistol that she picked up for use in the movie. She also comes with a small diving knife that she has sheathed in her left boot.

In the movie, Lara is engaged by other tomb raiders in the Luna Temple. The ensuing battle results in the destruction of the Temple. The bad guys flee, destroying Lara's air-supply and water propulsion unit as they go.

Unable to cover the distance to the surface with what little air she has in her lungs, Lara cuts herself with her knife attracting a man-eating gigantic shark which she then punches in the nose, disorienting the creature enough for her to ride to the surface.

Pandora's box is not seen till much later in the movie. SOTA Toys, whom we have to thank for this action figure, did not bother with any gold establishment for Pandora's box. They went instead with brown with white "glowing' streaks.

WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE ABOUT THE ANGELINA JOLIE TOMB RAIDER LARA CROFT IN A WETSUIT ACTION FIGURE?

FIRST: Let's get the big white elephant out of the way: Ever wonder what Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) would look like as Lara Croft? Well wonder no more!

At certain angles - and actually with a tad bit of shelf dust - we have to give it to SOTA Toys that they did create an incredible likeness of a young Angelina Jolie. However that likeness is far closer to a likeness of Sophie Turner.

SECOND: The Angelina Jolie Tomb Raider Lara Croft in a Wetsuit Action Figure does not have any foot pegs so getting her to stand may be a challenge and the more complex display poses are out of the question without a stand.

WHAT'S TO LIKE ABOUT THE ANGELINA JOLIE TOMB RAIDER LARA CROFT IN A WETSUIT ACTION FIGURE?

FIRST: Angelina Jolie Tomb Raider Lara Croft in a Wetsuit Action Figure stands 6" tall and is an absolute joy to pose thanks to her incredibly high articulation! We're particularly happy about how well the design's joints were made. Naturally you can see them, but they seem to flow smoothly so visually you tend to ignore them. We love how it's so easy to make her stand with her hip to the side, adding to her allure.

There is a limit thanks to the harness that she wears. She can't really do high kicks or anything like that, however with some cajoling we believe that the harness can be removed - which we don't recommend because the harness actually adds to the appeal and if removed may diminish the figure aesthetically - she'd look like Lara Croft dressed in a condom.

As you've seen in the photos above, the Angelina Jolie Tomb Raider Lara Croft in a Wetsuit Action Figure can kneel quite well:

SECOND: And check it out! She has joints at the balls of her feet! Very few action figures have that.



THIRD: Angelina Jolie Tomb Raider Lara Croft in a Wetsuit Action Figure is finely sculpted. you can see the muscles through the spandex. In the actual movie you could see a little more detail in her chest area but we suppose SOTA Toys did not believe that nipples were strong enough to push through Spandex. Lara's behind is simply gorgeous! Note also that SOTA Toys included the shoulder mounted flashlight in her harness.Also check out the detailing that went into the braiding of her hair.
