To the uninitiated, this is Katherine "Kitty" Pryde, one time master of the Soulsword, apprentice to the one called Wolverine, Agent of SHIELD, mother of Brood (Aborted, Wolverine and the X-Men #5 was fracked up), the original mother of a dragon, and the X-Men's resident technical genius who walks through walls. AKA Ariel, Sprite, Cat, Professor K.

Kitty Pryde is the third X-Man we know of to have her powers escalated to cosmic levels - following the Phoenix and Wolverine (We could be wrong), and is currently off-planet serving as the new Star Lord while her ex-fiance of the same name is busy being king of the universe.

The Marvel Universe Kitty Pryde - Shadowcat's blister card reads "As the youngest member of the X-Men, Kitty Pryde often feels outclassed, especially with powerhouses like Colossus and Wolverine around. She underestimates her own value. Her quick mind and ability to phase through solid matter lend subtlety to a team overflowing with brute force. Her close relationship with the other members of the X-Men make her a crucial component of the team, one that focuses their conscience and power on what is right."
The action figure comes with a stand and Lockheed her ever faithful Dragon - who can actually talk, is highly intelligent, apparently renown throughout the universe for killing Brood, and is a secret member of the Earth Alien defense group, SWORD. Lockheed almost became an alcoholic when Kitty Pryde was lost in space inside a solid bullet meant to destroy Earth.

FIRST: While the Marvel Universe Kitty Pryde - Shadowcat action figure is quite simple, her articulation is quite high. Shadowcat has the ability to swivel her mid-torso and her upper torso - something that is sorely missed in the new Marvel Universe figures that are hitting the market.

The only shot against her articulation would be her hair which limits how far you can swivel her head.
Yes, she can kneel.
SECOND: While the Marvel Universe Kitty Pryde - Shadowcat action figure comes with a very unique facial sculpt. We're on the fence as to whether or not we like it.

FOURTH: The Marvel Universe Kitty Pryde - Shadowcat action figure comes with the default uniform of the early X-Men which makes her a perfect body mold for anybody wanting to create other X-Men figures like the early New Mutants.
What's NOT to like about the Marvel Universe Kitty Pryde - Shadowcat action figure?
FIRST: While the Marvel Universe Kitty Pryde - Shadowcat did go through an accelerated 8 month pregnancy cycle, no, her "sweater stretchers" are nowhere near that large. They never were, they never will be
SECOND: . Lockheed, while magnificently sculpted, is nothing more than a lump of plastic. He can't even sit on her arm - or anywhere else - without blue-tack. He can sit on the base if you want, but that's about it.
The Marvel Universe Kitty Pryde - Shadowcat 3 3/4 inch action figure is available on Amazon for US428.95 (Roughly PhP 1,360 plus shipping). She's a must have especially if you are a fan of the X-Men.
