Abrams Tank (Woodland camo)

Presenting Blue Box International (BBI) Elite Force Abrams Tank, woodland camouflage edition. There's a lot to like and hate about Elite Force Products. 

You have to love their replicas: Modern detailed replicas that work almost perfectly with G.I. Joe Figures - or the rest of their Elite Force products. This particular Abrams weighs in at a very solid 3 lbs. All the wheels are free rolling and they roll easily despite the rubber threads. The turret rotates a full 360 degrees without popping out of the hull and the M256 Smoothbore elevates up and down.

You have to hate: The crappy plastic that they use for the smaller items such as the .50 caliber and 7.62 machine gun attachments for the Abrams that look like they were made in another factory altogether (somewhere in China where lead heavy fake toys are made). The same crappy plastic is used for their action figures. It's funny that BBI's vehicle bodies are made of sterner stuff. 

You have to love how it fits in with your G.I.  Joe collection perfectly. In my photos, Roadblock's hand grips the side of his cupola perfectly.
You may love or hate how big it is though in comparison with other Joe Tanks. The BBI Abrams is 22 inches long from the tip of the M256 to its tail, 6 inches tall and almost 9 inches wide. Meaning it takes up a hell of a lot of space. Other Joe tanks are roughly half that size. It's wider than the R.O.C.C.

And lastly you may love or hate how it only fits two figures. It would have been nice if the driver's cockpit on the main body also opened up and you could squeeze another figure inside. It would be heaven if you could open it up and fit all four crew inside.

All in all, this is a must have - if you have the space and you look forward to one day making or participating in a Diorama. It's fun, but its clearly not a toy, it's a display replica. The BBI Elite Force Abrams retails from between PhP 2,000 to PhP 3,000 in the black market - the version with Desert Camo is more common.
