Jamie Madrox, Marvel's Multiple Man has always been a surprise to us. When we were introduced to him some time back in the 1980s we kinda scoffed at him. We thought his power was lame in comparison to everyone else who could easily wipe out all of his duplicates with one or two blasts.
Yet through the years through creative writing, the Multiple Man has proven to be a complex and charismatic character; a worthy leader of the X-Men (Factor), and; a resourceful and almost unstoppable one-man army
He's so complex he refuses to die (His death via Terrigen Mist in the absolutely horrible IvX story-line was waaay undeserved, so welcome back).

Hopfully his return isn't temporary as the last suriving 'Dupe' or 'Duplicate' is slowly dying from the Terrigen Mist that killed Jamie Madrox Prime, but thanks to a stolen time-machine, Madrox has a fighting chance to save his life - or destroy the timeline.
Madrox's blister card reads "Not to be duped by duplication, Jamie Madrox uses the ability to clone himself to assign liaisons to travel the world and acquire new skillsets"
Further proof that no X-Man stays dead forever (Hell, Banshee's back) - unless your name is Thunderbird. Kinda weird though that a 'Dupe' is now Jamie Prime. Oh to the uninitiated (And if you haven't figured it out yet), Jamie Madrox has the mutant ability to create duplicates of himself whenever he receives any significant form of physical impact. The 'Dupes' can operate independently (Sometimes even going rogue) and Jamie can automatically learn what they learn when he reabsorbs them or via a link that he shares with them. He once used this power to win "Who wants to be a Millionaire!"
WHAT'S TO LIKE ABOUT THE MARVEL LEGENDS MULTIPLE MAN ACTION FIGURE?
FIRST: The Marvel Legends Multiple Man comes with three heads with three different facial expressions, which is a welcome change over the quite deadpan facial expressions of Marvel Legends figures. The head sculpts are:
We're really fond of the "Gene Kelley" head. We love how lovable it is. The Peter Parker head... not so much. There are those who will argue that it does not look like Peter, but c'mon! It's Peter.
SECOND: We have mixed feelings abot the re-used Famtoex trenchoat. It does interfere a little - just a little - with articulation given that it is soft plastic, and you can't remove it - which is the biggest bummer since Multiple Man's arms are a part of his sculpt, but we just love how it screams another upcoming X-Men favorite: Gambit.
And the coat really suits Multiple Man. He'd look kinda weird and bare without it.
THIRD: Jamie Madrox's articulation is excellent despite the trenchcoat and he performs nicely as a boxer:
WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE ABOUT THE MARVEL LEGENDS MULTIPLE MAN ACTION FIGURE?
FIRST: Nothing actually other than the fact that you can't remove the trench-coat.
We've always wondered where Jamie Madrox gets all the mass to duplicate himself and his clothing.
Anyway, the truly sad part about the Marvel Legends Multiple Man Action Figure is that you can't be satisfied with just one You need an army - and quite frankly he's getting hard to find already because people are building Madri armies.
Jamie Madrox, the Multiple Man, is available on Amazon for US$ 23.95 (Roughly PhP 1,293 plus shipping).
All we need now is Strong Guy.
