Toy News: G.I. Joe 2011 Convention Sightings

April 3 marked the end of the 18th annual G.I. Joe 2011 convention in Orlando Florida. Naturally Hasbro took the opportunity to showcase its next line of G.I. Joe toys all slated to hit the market this fall. Till the last quarter of the year comes, I suppose we'll have to content ourselves with these images courtesy of our friends at ToyNewsi.com.

The highlight of the convention is the action figure selection from the new G.I. Joe Renegades cartoon series including this very fetching version of Scarlett that you see on your right.

Among the figures spotted at the convention include:

Sergeant Nicky "Tunnel Rat" Lee with what looks like an EOD robot in tow.

Cobra Hazard Viper:

A very weird looking Data Viper. Not sure what he's supposed to do but sit there and type.

Zartan's baby sister "Zoe" AKA Zarana

Cobra's chief saboteur Firefly fro the G.I. Joe Renegades Series

Duke from the G.I., Joe Renegade series - get a load of the "stapler" guns

Of course there has to be a Snake Eyes - also with a stapler for a weapon.

Scarlett keeps her traditional crossbow and goes back to wearing a pony-tail

The new Cobra Trooper looks like the G.I. Joe Pursuit of Cobra Shock Trooper.

An old favorite of mine makes an appearance: Corporal Kurt "Airtight" Schnurr

A Renegades Ripcord who kinda looks more like Alpine.

And an oldie but goodie: Technoviper.

For the first time ever, Kwinn makes an appearance.

And because everybody loves Zombies, Cobra finally decided to make their own Zombie-Vipers

And we close with Law and Order from the G.I. Joe Renegades series.

But my personal item of interest is this photo of a new G.I. Joe Ninja specialist named Ashiko who comes armed with a motorcycle that turns into combat-armor - how very Robotech New Generation REF Cyclone like. This I want.
