For 10 years, Canada’s TFcon has been helping toy collectors realize their collecting dreams. This year, Canada’s premier Transformers collectors convention will make wishes come true for sick children, as TFCon holds its first-ever charity auction to benefitMAKE-A-WISH Canada. The event will begin 12:00 PM EST, July 28th 2012 at the Delta Meadowvale Resort and Conference Centre – 6750 Mississauga Road, Mississauga, Ontario
Founded in 1983, Make-A-Wish Canada has granted thousands of wishes to children across Canada with life-threatening medical conditions . With regional Chapters in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, London, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Halifax, the Canadian affiliate of Make-A-Wish® International has helped to make it the largest wish-granting organization in the world, making dreams and wishes come true for more than 280,000 children world-wide since 1980.
This year’s auction features a variety of Science Fiction, Toy, and Pop-Culture related items, including action figures, autographed photos, and merchandise, books, posters, plush Items and more. The auction even features a unique toy customizing class and the chance to own a one-of-a-kind Transformers themed action figure. Live-Auction and Online Bidding services provided are provided by the professional auction staff ofTheBigToyAuction.com, the premier Auction service provider of Pop Culture Conventions. Proceeds of the sale will go directly to Make-A-Wish Canada.
Since 2002 TFcon has grown from 190 guests to over 2500 attendees to become Canada’s largest dealer room for Transformers merchandise and the second largest Transformers Convention in the world . The Two-Day event features dozens of Collectibles Dealers, Voice Actors, Artists, Writers, and other special guests including Hasbro Canada, the licensor of the Transformers brand. This is the first year the convention has added a charity auction event to its schedule.
The auction will be held during the convention at the Delta Meadowvale Resort and Conference Centre – 6750 Mississauga Road, Mississauga, Ontario. On-site preview and registration will begin at 8:00 AM - Saturday July 28th, 2012 with the Live Auctionstarting at 12:00 PM EST.
