Previously Un-Released M.A.S.K. Toy Made Available for Benefit Event.

Following the Devastating weather events of the past year, including Hurricane Sandy, Bill Faries, owner of M.A.S.K. action figure fansite Matt-Trakker.com has put together a benefit event to raise funds for those affected by the storms. He has collected an assortment of memorabilia signed by the voice actors from the original M.A.S.K. cartoon series to be donated and sold at a special benefit auction event.

Pieces include Cartoon Animation, Specially created Vector Art, and vintage M.A.S.K. Toys. They will be auctioned off as part of the TheBigToyAuction.com’s Spring ToySplosion Auction Event with 100% of the proceeds from those items being donated to the American Red Cross. As a special offer, all bidders winning one of the benefit items will also receive a never-before-released special edition M.A.S.K. figure (limit one figure per winning bidder).

Christmas Haul

Not much of a Christmas Haul this year. And even after the festivities have died down, I have to say I really didn't feel the season. I don't know if it's because of work or just the season that's bringing me down.

Anyway, melancholy aside, we did get a few nice items to join the Dungeon, the biggest being an Apache Helicopter and Rocket Hauler both from Team Heroes; Soundwave, Ratbat, Frenzy and Starscream from the Transformers War of Cybertron Toy Line.

Caught in the Act - a Video Coverage of the Toy Kingdom Toy Expo 2012

A fellow collector who runs one of the most unique toy-review Vlogs - with incredibly wonderful photography, actually apparently caught me receiving my spanking new Nintendo 3DS on video (six-footer awkwardly moving forward to get his prize with a blue back-pack). He also made a wonderful video of the opening night. Do check AdvocatePinoy out, subscribe to his YouTube Vlog and remember to like his Facebook page.

Toy Kingdom Toy Expo 2012 Coverage

My 1st Day Haul

The Dungeon was lucky enough to be invited to the Media Night of Toy Kingdom's First Toy Expo at the SMX Convention Center all the way in SM Mall of Asia. And it turned out to be a VERY LUCKY NIGHT FOR ME!!!!

To begin with, I won a raffle!!!! See that spanking mint-in-box Nintendo 3DS on the side? Yeah that's mine! And I won it fair and square with the use of my brand new minted calling cards.

But it didn't end there! I scored the Avengers Black Widow at retail! So if you're going to the Toy Kingdom Toy Expo 2012 looking for that, sorry, I think I got the only one.

But there's still SOOOO much more that you can see - and buy - there!

Toy Kingdom Toy Expo 2012 Philippines

Toy Kingdom is holding it's first ever Toy Expo in SM Mall of Asia from August 23 to 24, 2012. The country's largest toy store chain, Toy Kingdom promises to fill up not one, but two of the massive SMX Halls in SM Mall of Asia with toys, toys, and even more toys.

Definitely something you should be at if you're in the country.

The Dungeon is going.

Though not yet quite a popular piece of technology, do can the QR code for more exciting details or visit the official Toy Kingdom Facebook page.

Toy News: SDCC Exclusive SHIELD 2012 Helicarrier

When I first saw the Avengers movie SHIELD  Helicarrier when it was released, I was extremely disappointed. Thank God, there's an SDCC 2012 Exclusive that's not only a full foot longer than the three foot long mass-released Helicarrier, it comes with an exclusive Maria Hill figure.  Information happily sourced and passed on from Marvel CollectorUK.

Toy News: SDCC 2012 X-Force Marvel Legends Exclusive

TOY NEWS: Marvel has announced that they will be releasing an Uncanny X-Force Marvel Legends (Not Marvel Universe) collectors pack in the 2012 San Diego Comic Book Convention (SDCC 2012, July 12-15, San Diego Convention Center).

The X-Force collection includes Archangel (Dark Angel) as he appeared in his ascension (Not as he appeared when he transformed completely) to take the place of Apocalype during X-Force's Dark Angel Saga; Wolverine (Another one? Sigh); and a spanking brand new Psylocke in X-Force black and gray. The collection is in tribute to the variant cover of Uncanny X-Force # 15 that features the three.

All we need now is a Deadpool, Warpath and Wolfsbane.

Check out some of marvel.com's photos of the three

“Machine Gun Preacher” Gets Boost from Sci-Fi Convention Attendees.

Sci-Fi and Speculative Fiction Fans have found a new home in the Johnstown area. Now they are working to help provide homes for Sudanese Orphans at the first Annual Sci-Fi in the Valley Con.

Sci-Fi in the Valley Con will be holding its first-ever charity auction to benefit “Machine Gun Preacher” Sam Childers’ Angels of East Africa (Yes, Sam Childers is a real person and not the figment of someone's imagination that resulted in a Hollywood movie) this Saturday afternoon at Ebenburg, PA’s North Central Recreation Center. Childers, best known from last year’s Biopic “Machine Gun Preacher,” in which he was portrayed by Gerard Butler, founded the organization to build Orphanages and provide aid to Sudan’s “Invisible Children,” affected by war for nearly the past three decades.

Black Widow is in a Relationship with Hawkeye and it's Complicated

Black Widow is in a Relationship with Hawkeye and it's definitely Complicated. I found this on Facebook. Not really sure who came up with it but it's hilarious.

Margie Cox - Star Sapphire

Presenting Cosplayer Margie Cox as the Star Sapphire. A few weeks back when we reviewed the  Star Sapphire , I got into a discussion over the practicality of the  Star Sapphire 's costume.

I mentioned in the discussion that I actually knew - rather followed - one of the more popular Cosplayers made famous for her portrayal of the  Star Sapphire but for the life of me at that time I could not remember who it was.

I finally had time to look for her last night and I found her.

Her name is Margie Vizcarra Cox, from Atlanta Georgia. She's the Coordinator of the Local Branch of Heroes Alliance of Atlanta. Google Star Sapphire Cosplay and you'll find tons of her photos in the infamous pink body-suit - though she also does a mean Catwoman, She-Hulk  and Wonderwoman.

G.I. Joe Retaliation figures in packages.

Our friends at Toy News International have posted two photos of the upcoming G.I. Joe Retaliation ToyLine.

I have to say that I'm starting to have mixed feelings about the toy-line. The packaging is less military and more movie based - I suppose we can let that slide, the Rock has to be paid after-all.

But here we are again with those huge weapons that are just a waste of plastic that most collectors simply pack away in a box.

And what's with that orange gun?

For a view of Cobra Commander, visit our friends at Toy News International.

The Bat Vader

I came across a very interesting Facebook page called  Let's Go Gamers - a home for hardcore gamers, and they presented this very interesting concept - "The Bat Vader!" And I just had to share it. It is soooo cool!!!! :)

After the jump, check out a VERY nice concept art that we can hope will one day happen to the game "Assasin's Creed" AND a very humorous piece also from Let's Go Gamers.

Transformers 3rd Party Xovergen TrailerForce-01 God Ginrai

More-and-more images of the upcoming 3rd Party Xovergen Trailerforce-01 upgrade for Transformers G1 and Classics/Henkei Optimus Prime to transform them to something akin to God Ginrai, are filling the market.

I have to admit that when news first started coming out about the Trailerforce-01 upgrade, my eyes were rolling thinking that I would need to go buy another Classics/Henkei Optimus Prime - what with my Classics busy wearing my Parallax upgrade and my Henkei Prime wearing my TAW Sword Upgrade. I really don't feel like acquiring another Classics/Henkei Optimus Prime.

Happily, this particular Optimus Prime Upgrade accepts the G1 Optimus Prime. Though I probably would have to get another one because my G1 Optimus Prime is currently busy with my BTS-03 Prime Matrix Upgrade.

Check out the other photographs of the Xovergen TrailerFOrce-01 God Ginrai upgrade courtesy of Planet Iacon - from Singapore - after the jump.

Star Wars Identities The Exhibition

On April 19 of this year, there will be an Exhibit entitled "Star Wars Identities The Exhibition" in Montreal Canada (No offense to Canada, but why Canada? I hope this exhibit travels). The exhibit is meant to project the idea that you are the sum of your being and experiences by showing popular Star Wars characters as they are "assembled" by popular iconic star wars scenes and vehicles.

Take Darth Vader here for example who looks like a fading image from afar, but when you look more closely at him, he disintegrates into the Void of Space, the Death Star, several Imperial Star Destroyers, shuttles and tie-fighters, tie-interceptors, a few lost Y-wings, and an X-Wing fighter taking prominence near his chest plate or as close to his heart as you can get probably symbolizing the "good in him" that his son Luke Skywalker felt.

I've included two more iconic collages after the jump, the rest can be viewed on movieweb.com

John Carter from Mars

I had a surprisingly fun afternoon watching the new John Carter from Mars movie.

I just wanted to pass the time and I thought what I then perceived to be a "B" movie would be a nice way to do it.

I wasn't expecting an Oscar winning performance and I was bracing for an epic failure like the Reboot of the Conan the Barbarian movie.  I was also quite familiar with the Traci Lords/Antonio Sabato Jr pukefest "Princess of Mars" released in 2009" so I was expecting a nice nap in the movie theatre. And! The opening credits revealed it was a Disney film, so there would be no gratuitous nudity (BOOOOOO!!!!!) which we've come to expect from almost anything from Edgar Rice Burroughs - who, by the way turns out to be the nephew of John Carter.

Boy was I in for a surprise!

Spoilers here, so don't read on it you haven't seen it.
