I got you a kitty. |
Check out our thoughts on the DC movie that rated lower than BvS on Rotten Tomatoes by clicking here - we actually liked most of it.
Anyway, so this is SH Figurarts attempt to give collectors their very own Margot Robbie action figure to play with. We're really grateful that other companies have taken up the slack after DC released that rather traumatizing version of Harley Quinn through Mattel (Which looked like a Chinese knock-off).
At this point we're wondering if anybody is reading this stuff. You know who Margot Robbie is. You know who Harley Quinn is. So we can actually write anything here and you'd still be scrolling to check out how hot she is.
MORE AFTER THE JUMP
The SH Figurarts Suicide Squad Harley Quinn's blister pack is in Japanese (Chinese? Bandai is head quartered in Hong Kong) so we won't even bother. BUT!!! It does bother to mention back there that this is NOT a toy and is suitable only for those who are 15 years old and above.
We agree.
Let's jump straight into it!
What are you looking at? |
FIRST: Let's get it out of the way, YES the SH Figurarts Suicide Squad Harley Quinn has one of THE BEST POSTERIORS WE'VE EVER SEEN IN AN ACTION FIGURE!!!!
And that's saying a lot. (Our apologies to Quiet, Shae Vizla, the Black Cat and Alice, we love you but Harley brings home the prize)
It is so well sculpted that no matter how you pose her, it will always look like her ass is flowing out of her hot pants.
Can I hitch a ride? |
Sugar and Spice |
- The dead-pan, "I'm really pretty" head;
- The smiling "Oh sh*t I think she's crazy!" head, and;
- The "Bat-sh*t psychopath" head.
She also comes with 7 alternate hands that allow her to grip her bat in either hand - or dual wield it; one right hand that allows her to grip her her pistol, and; four more open hands that allow her to "cup" or simply have really open hands.
Everything nice |
FOURTH: The SH Figurarts Harley Quinn action figure was soooo much fun to pose. She can kneel and her articulation is quite high.
Heresy! :D |
Playtime's over |
FIRST: Towards the end of the shoot we broke her bat - no pun intended, seriously. Harley holds her bat by first splitting it into two and then reattaching the two parts after inserting it into her "bat-holding" fist. The bat parts are held together by a very thin reed at the thinnest part of the bat's circumference that is inserted into its opposing side.
Unfortunately because it was so thin, ours broke.
Happily her "bat-holding hands" are tight enough that you can just have her hold the two pieces together at the break.
We were actually relieved that it was just the bat that broke and not the pegs holding her hands. They are ridiculously thin as well.
THIRD: Harley's knees are not double jointed so she does have difficulty kneeling and there is a limit to how far back you can draw them:
FOURTH: If you haven't noticed it yet, she stands because of copious amounts of blue tack. Harley Quinn does not have a stand peg.
FIFTH: Our biggest problem with Harley is the lack of some of her more prominent tattoos, particularly the "Lucky you" on her lower belly and the "I am watching" on her lower back. For a full list of tattoos, click here.
The SH Figurarts Suicide Squad Harley Quinn Action Figure from Bandai Tamashii Nations, is available on Amazon for US$ 58.94 (Roughly PhP 3,000 plus shipping).
