Marvel Legends Domino Action Figure Review

Marvel Legends Domino Action Figure Review
I really should have stayed in college
The Marvel Legends Domino Action Figure is a much needed and much awaited upgrade over that horrendous excuse for a Domino released a few years back.

We watched Deadpool 2 over the weekend and frankly it was a fun ride but they lost me when they iced Vanessa (Spoliers - yeah they brought her back to life and now there's this theory that she's the personification of Death, but she's too pretty to kill).

But it was a fun movie and we do recommend that you go see it - we just prefer the first one (And we love you Colossus, but no way did you stand toe-to-toe with the Juggernaut).

It also surprisingly didn't bother us that they color-bent Domino. Probably because we thought that Zazie Beetz did justice to the role: she was fun, fearless, irreverent, and damn sexy (Though let's accept the fact that the members of X-Force died because of her probability field).

MORE AFTER THE JUMP

This particular Marvel Legends Sasquatch BAF Domino Action Figure was purchased loose, but her blister pack reads "Domino creates her own luck with a subconscious ability to predict the success of any given action."

To the uninitiated, Domino was part of a failed government project to breed a new generation of super-soldiers. Sadly the government did not consider her "luck" powers a success - in the same way that Deadpool thought that luck powers were simply not cinematic enough - and abandoned her to a convent. Domino would eventually grow to become a mercenary where she would meet Cable and eventually hook up with Wolverine for a really awesome comic book called X-Force: Sex and Violence. Apparently she has a thing for men with metal as she has been a lover to both Cable and the soon to be married Colossus

Just found out that Marvel considers her luck powers to be a form of Telekinesis. Interesting.

WHAT'S TO LIKE ABOUT THE MARVEL LEGENDS DOMINO ACTION FIGURE?

FIRST: Domino's pretty! Not like that weird KISS reject Marvel released a few years back. In Domino # 1 (2018), Domino accuses   Colossus of marrying someone with a "normal face" We've always founds that a bit weird.

Anyway, her new facial sculpt is a bit reminiscent of one of the Wasp's facial sculpts - which is pretty cool since we modified a Wasp head to replace that awful Domino head back then - but there are two many differences to say 100% that this is a re-purposed Wasp head. Probably a re-sculpt.

SECOND: Domino's articulation is excellent! She can kneel and she can handle her two pistols quite well:

Wait, don't kill him!! We need to insult him first!

You know, this is getting a little personal.

Talking to Deadpool is like... I dunno... it's like talking to someone who's being attacked by bees.

Look these are my guns! Now you see em.....
WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE ABOUT THE MARVEL LEGENDS DOMINO ACTION FIGURE?

FIRST: The Rob Liefield guns. The man who could not draw feet also cannot draw guns. Kudos to Marvel for trying to dash on some detailing there, but what the hell are those? And why do they have to be purple? It's almost as bad as the vacuum cleaners they gave Cable, but worse because they're purple.

SECOD: She does feel kinda bare and could use a few more accessories. Domino is quite skilled with a multitude of weapons so a little more could go a long way.

THIRD: This is a nit-pick: We're not real fans of her shin-guards. Sometimes they make her legs look weird. High  boots would have been better. Again, a nit-pick.

Still a great figure! We love her! We will not part with her! And she helps complete our X-Force team.

Domino is kinda hard to find but quite cheap on Amazon (Strange) where she retails for US$ 18.84 (Roughly PhP 1,000 plus shipping).

See what we mean about giving her other weapons?

Like I was saying. It isn't all just luck.
