Transformers Generations Optimus Prime Reprolabels

Presenting a Reprolabels upgrade for the Transformers Generations 30th Anniversary Optimus Prime, from Toyhax. 

As we write this, we looked upon our original review for this particular Optimus Prime, and this thought dawned upon us: "Where is your ion-cannon?"

Sigh. The problems of toy collectors - that something so small that is out of place will now keep us up all night until it's found.

Anyway, as mentioned these are reprolabels applied to a Transformers Optimus Prime figure that is no more than 3" in height. 

And we're really glad we got it because it makes the figure really "pop" out and worthy of the name "Prime"

What's to like about the Transformers 30th Anniversary Generations Optimus Prime Reprolabels?

FIRST: Quite simply: He looks gooooood with them!!!!!

 

Don't get us wrong, we liked the Generations Optimus Prime as he was, and were particularly inspired by the matrix-revealing chest-plate, but with this level of detailing, he's simply exquisite. We're particularly fond of:

• The shoulder pauldron Autobot insignias
• The new shiny wind-shields and spoilers - note that we opted to use the battle-damaged windshield. Reprolabels gives you a few options - which is cool for something so small.
• The new "Cybertronian Radial" tires.
• The new "Steel jackboots" 

Now if we only could remember where we put his ion cannon:

And because we took a certain option, there was enough material left over to give the mini-con Roller an Autobot insignia badge:

What's NOT to like about the TF 30th Anniversary Generations Optimus Prime Reprolabels?

FIRST: Only one thing actually: working reprolabels onto something so tiny was surprisingly not so difficult - until you decide to blow up the photos of Optimus Prime and you find yourself filled with the need to make miniscule adjustments that you don't see or feel the need to when it's in the palm of your hand.

Next time we install reprolabels onto something so small, a magnifying glass will be involved.

Other than that? A great upgrade that gives the Transformers Generations 30th Anniversary Optimus Prime a well needed upgrade.
