| Bobbi Morse - Mockingbird |
To be perfectly honest we miss Adrianne Palicki and her portrayal of Mockingbird in the Marvel: Agents of Shield TV series. We sincerely hope that she returns or reprises the role elsewhere.
To the uninitiated who only know her as the ex-Mrs. Hawkeye, Dr. Barbara "Bobbi" Morse (Yes, she has a Doctorate in Biology from the Georgia Institute of Technology - and she also went to the SHIELD Spy school), was originally created as a love-interest for Ka-Zar back in 1971 by writer Len Wein and artist
Neal Adams (She also wasn't originally a blonde).

Bobbi Morse then became the super-hero known as Huntress, and didn't become the Mockingbird til 1980 (Guess why she had to drop the Huntress name). Editor Archie Goodwin revealed that the name and design for Mockingbird was originally meant as for an African-American super-villain for Spider-Woman, but it seemed like the perfect name for the fledgling hero.Her blister card reads: "Armed with fierce athleticism and superior smarts, these expert agents serve the forces of justice."
There are a few pertinent things about Mockingbird that we feel we should note:- She had a fiance when she met Ka-Zar;
- There was once an issue of the Avengers where the Avengers commented about how Hawkeye was so brave for going to battle with nothing more than a bow and arrow. Mockingbird goes to battle with a pair of arnis that can combined to become a bo-staff
- While she was a member of the West Coast Avengers, she was stuck in time with the Phantom Rider who brainwashed her, and technically raped her. She let him die when she came out of the brainwashing, and somehow Marvel thought that she deserved to be tortured by the ghost of the Phantom Rider to near insanity, and Hawkeye left her because he let the Phantom Rider die. WTF MARVEL!!!
- Mockingbird was killed in 1993 saving her husband from Mephisto. The Mockingbird killed was revealed to be a Skrull and She was brought back to the land of the living during the Skrull Invasion
- She was shot and nearly killed as a member of the New Avengers, and was saved by the super-soldier-serum that gave Nick Fury his long life. The serum gave her enhanced regeneration, agility and strength.

FIRST: Mockingbird is pretty modular: She comes with a pair of battons that can be combined into a... slightly longer metal rod looking thingee; You can remove her goggles (Which are supposed to have night-vision) revealing a face that looks like it was designed by Frank Quitely, and; A bo-staff is one of the simplest items to be found lying around doing nothing if you're a toy-collector - which looks great in her hands..

SECOND: Mockingbird's articulation is pretty good and is perfect for such a character known for her dynamic fighting skills.

FIRST: Seriously Marvel could not be bothered to give her a bo-staff? When you combine the battons - which she stole from Daredevil - they don't really make anything.... impressive. It really would not have cost that much more to give her a staff.
But they didn't.
Also her new costume is to-die-for. This is her last Avengers uniform and not the uniform that Spider-Man modified which includes wings.
Other than that, nothing much. We love the new uniform, the design, the articulation, and the fact that you can remove her goggles.
This particular Marvel Legends Onslaught BAF has been in the Dungeon for some time. She is available on Amazon for US$12.98 (roughly PhP 636 plus shipping).
