Presenting Wonder Woman from the DC Unlimited new 52 Toyline.
This particular figure was purchased loose from the Black Market of Greenhills here in the Philippines. Apparently the local market is flooding with loose versions of Wonder Woman from the DC Unlimited Toyline.
I was unfamiliar with the DC Unlimited Toyline and I have to admit I purchased this on a whim. I was thinking "Oh! Hot chick!" when I picked her up.
Because of that I failed to realize that she was incomplete till I noticed the sword strap hanging empty above her shapely buttocks.
Let that be a lesson to us all.
Still: "Hot chick!"

Marvel Legends Series 1 Iron Man Gold Variant
Presenting the Marvel Legends Series 1 Iron Man - Gold Variant.
Today, April 24, Iron Man 3 opens in cinemas all over Metro Manila, so I thought that it would just be apt to blog about Iron Man - that and he's so much fun to Photoshop.
Please also note the attempt to try a different background and lighting.
To the uninitiated, this is the Iron Man Mark III armor. Marvel Legends released three Iron Men in this series, the classic yellow and red Iron Man Mark V Armor, a stealth version (Blue) Iron Man Mark V Armor, and this rare gold and horn-headed version, the Iron Man Mark III.
So this is actually an older version of an Iron Man armor. Marvel actually skipped the Iron Man Mark IV because that one had a nose and simply made him look silly.

Yoda's Jedi Attack Fighter
Presenting Yoda's Jedi Attack Fighter from the 2013 Star Wars Toy Line.
Now before you start rolling your eyes and think that Hasbro is just trying to pull a fast one to get your money, there actually is a reference to a Starfighter piloted by Master Yoda - besides, Yoda is simply just too cool not to have one for his own use.
In the canonic novel "Yoda: Dark Rendezvous", An actor named Palleus Chuff is asked to impersonate the Jedi Master and is tasked with piloting a Seltaya-Class Fast Courier.
Supposedly widely used by Jedi Knights in the last days of the Old Republic, and developed by Hoersch-Kessel Drive Inc., Chuff described the Seltaya's cockpit as being cramped and hot once the canopy was sealed. Further, it did have room for a single R2-series droid, was equipped with an internal hyperdrive but was armed only with laser cannons, no missiles.

Marvel Universe: Commander Rogers
Presenting Commander Steve Rogers from the Marvel Universe Toyline.
To the uninitiated, Steve Rogers, Captain America himself, was killed at the end of the Marvel Civil War. Actually he wasn't killed and was just "Time displaced" by the Red Skull who wanted to take Steve Rogers' body for himself. Anyway that plot failed and Steve Rogers found himself in a world where he'd been replaced as Captain America by Bucky, his former sidekick - who was now going around carrying his original shield and wearing a uniform with an arrow that pointed towards his groin.
Anyway, he finds himself in a world where Norman Osborn is king and joins the resistance. When Osborn falls from grace, Steve Rogers is asked to replace him and he does. Bucky offers to relinquish his title as Captain America but Steve Rogers declines and takes on this new uniform and a new title and position: "Commander Rogers" the gun-toting head of SHIELD.

GI Joe Retaliation Lady Jaye
Presenting Lady Jaye from the GI Joe Retaliation Toy Line.
To the uninitiated (whaaatttt???), Lady Jaye is the covert operations specialist of the GI Joe Team. There are several Cobra's who are her counterparts, including the Dreadnok Zarana (Both of which prefer not to use complex disguises and instead get along with astounding character changes).
As if you did not know it, Lady Jaye was played by Adrianne Palicki in the GI Joe Retaliation movie. I have to admit that I am not a fan of Friday Night Lights (Which, ironically, never airs on a Friday), nor of Andrianne's quite feeble attempt at being Wonder Woman (Totally miscast. Jamie Alexander - Sif - would have made a better Wonder Woman); but I am a fan of Legion where she played the lead character, Charlie, who gave birth to the savior of mankind.

Shae Vizla
Presenting the bounty-hunter with the best ass in the business, Shae Vizla from the Star Wars Old Republic Vintage Toy edition line.
Now obviously given how she's dressed she'd Mandalorian bounty-hunter. However there is no actual canon to date that places her as a distant relative of Pre Vizsla, leader of the Mandalorian Deathwatch - also note that there's an "S" in Pre Vizsla's name, and no "S" in Shae's.
To the uninitiated, Shae Vizla is a character from the Expanded Universe of Star Wars. Sheis, as mentioned, a Mandalorian Bounty-Hunter from Bioware's Star Wars: Old Republic on-line MMORPG. So don't be really surprised if you're not familiar with her particularly if you don't have another life on-line.
Shae Vizla would serve in the Great Galactic War and the Cold War that followed between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire.

Marvel Legends Heroic Age Iron Man
Presenting the Heroic Age - or Bleeding Edge - Iron Man Armor from the latest Marvel Legends Iron Man Series.
I have to say that I really wasn't too keen about this latest series of Marvel Legends - like we need another Iron Man figure right? But I was intrigued as to whether or not this particular Marvel Legends would stand up to the articulation of one of the nicest Marvel Universe figures I have in the Dungeon: the Iron Man Bleeding Edge Modular Armor.
That and this is, by far, my most favorite Iron Man armor variant - well this and the Silver and red armor. The jury is still out on whether or not I like his current dark red and yellow armor.
And I hated the Extremis armor.

Michelle Chapman Cosplay
Presenting Michelle Chapman Cosplaying as Wonder Woman.
As with our Alisa Kiss Cosplay feature, there are actually two things that Ms. Chapman is known for - but again, we'll get to that later on in our feature.
Ms. Michelle Chapman is a 24-year old Cosplayer who hails from Seattle, Washington. She's actually known primarily for Cosplaying as Wonder Woman and as Catwoman, but personally, I prefer the statuesque 5'9" tall beauty in her Wonder Woman outfit.
The bad news is Ms. Michelle Chapman is married has one kid - but still looks incredibly hot, and as of Feb 6 of this year, Ms. Chapman announced that she was pregnant again, so we can more or less kiss her Cosplaying career goodbye while she tends to motherhood.

GI Joe Retaliation General Joe Colton
Presenting General Joe Colton from the GI Joe Retaliation toy-line.
I've always wanted a Bruce Willis action figure ever since I watched the first "Die Hard", so when the GI Joe franchise actually made a Bruce Willis action figure, I just had to have it.
Off the bat, I can't say that I'm happy that a full fledged General (Retired or not), the original GI Joe from where the GI Joe team got it's name, General Joe Colton himself, would stoop to take orders from a lowly Sergeant First Class (Nor for that matter, why a First Lieutenant - Lady Jaye - and a Warrant Officer - Flint - were taking orders from Roadblock - but then again he's quite an imposing figure).
Still it was nice that they actually made a Bruce Willis Action figure.

Beast Hunters Predaking
Presenting the Voyager Class Predaking, leader of the Predacons from the new Transformers Beast Hunters series.
Predaking's wiki actually has a quote from him going "My armour is like tenfold shields, my teeth are swords, my claws spears, the shock of my tail is a thunderbolt, my wings a hurricane, and my breath death!"
Too bad Ultra Magnus kicked his butt and he had to retreat without having killed Wheeljack and all he could do was growl when Starscream made a snide comment about his failure.
Quite an inglorious debut for, as Shockwave put it, "The Ultimate Autobot Hunter"
Though I suppose Predaking did kick Optimus Prime's butt so badly that the Hammer wielding Ultra Magnus had to be introduced. (I swear if they use this to introduce a Rodimus Prime, someone will die).

Mother Talzin
Presenting Sweet Mother Talzin, Nightsister of the Witches of Dathomir from the Star Wars Clone Wars Darth Maul Returns 3-pack.
Before we go on, I should probably mention that the Star Wars Clone Wars Darth Maul Returns 3-pack does not identify this particular action figure as our Dear Old Mother Talzin. It simply identifies the figure as a Nightsister.
This Nightsister definitely resembles Mother Talzin - down to the high horned head-dress, red leather armor, death-mask make-up and feathery exterior. Further, Mother Talzin was a key-element to the return of Darth Maul - using Force Magic to remove his spider-like appendages (Reducing them to two mechanical legs) and restoring Maul's sanity and memories - so this should be Mother Talzin.
Except Mother Talzin has never been depicted using a lightsaber - though she did give the "Bash Brothers" their lightsabers.
