November "Nova" Terra |
In 2006, a game called Starcraft Ghost was supposed to hit the market featuring the Ghost November "Nova" Terra. Sadly it was cancelled and we never got the chance to play the hot and extremely powerful psychic Ghost of the Terran Dominion.
Not to be one to waste such a good character Blizzard re-purposed her as a character in StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, pitting her against the Spectres led by the rogue agent Tosh, and; as a playable character for Heroes of the Storm - a Multiplayer Online Battle Arena game developed by Blizzard Entertainment involving characters from Blizzard's various games.
MORE AFTER THE JUMP
In the Starcraft video game, November Terra is permanently cloaked; has a psionic radar allowing her to detect units at a distance; Snipes of course; Can "Dominate" a enemy unit, taking control of it, and; of course, drop a Nuke.
In the Heroes of the Storm, her permanent cloak is disrupted whenever she attacks, uses her abilities or takes damage; she sees 10% further than other characters and her range is 20% further than other HOS characters; Nova can snipe, deal a Pinning shot, a Triple Tap, and; Can deploy a Holographic decoy.
Her blister card reads "November "Nova" Terra is a ghost of the Terran Dominion and one of the most powerful psionic soldiers ever known. Nova is highly focused determined and extremely deadly. Even Jim Raynor wouldn't want to be caught within her crosshairs."
The 7" NECA Toys November "Nova" Terra comes armed with a sniper rifle and an alternate left hand.
November Annabella "Nova" Terra |
FIRST: November "Nova" Terra is a fine looking female action figure!
Beneath those blonde bangs lies a wonderful - albeit sad looking (Probably because of her mind-wipe - facial sculpt.
And if you look lower, she comes with an incredible looking well padded posterior - which is made of soft plastic to help with her articulation:
What are you looking at? |

Note: You cannot sling the rifle onto her back. It won't stick. There's nothing to hold it in place The photo with her rifle slung back there is courtesy of blue-tack.
WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE ABOUT THE NECA TOYS NOVEMBER "NOVA" TERRA ACTION FIGURE?
FIRST: November "Nova" Terra hair is actually pegged into her head. You can see in the picture to the left how her pony-tail is a bit lifted off her head. That peg is probably no more than 3cm in diameter.
November Anabella "Nova" Terra's greatest folly is that her joints are held in place by similarly sized pegs. Given how tiny they are, yes, they break. The internet is littered with stories and pictures decrying how easy it is to break off her arms or legs. We've been lucky so far and have only lost her right leg - which we just superglued back into place. The fact that it can't move didn't really hamper the photoshoot, but this is still a big disappointment and a clear sign that NECA does't really give a damn about what they put out in the market.
Shame.
Which is probably why such a great action figure is only worth US$ 18.75 on Amazon (Roughly PhP 881 plus shipping).
Awesome post...
