Heroes Assemble Iron Man Hulkbuster LEGO KO

The Heroes Assemble knock-off (KO) version of LEGO's Iron Man Hulkbuster playset is quite a pleasant rip-off: stury, playable and, save for the missing LEGO marks, practically indiscernible from the original.

Tickle! Tickle! Tickle!

If you haven't seen it yet (Have you been living under a rock?) millions of Avengers fans were thrilled to the bones when Tony Stark took on the Incredible Hulk in a suit designed solely for that purpose. One that he and Doctor Bruce Banner designed  and endearingly nicknamed "Veronica."

Asia Carfi Cosplay

We've recently fallen in love with the work of Asia Carfi - a Cosplayer from Rome, Italy.(but born in Springfield, USA). Her works include quite dark characters such as the Suicide Squad's Enchantress that you see here, the Scarlet Witch, Wednesday Addams, Xena the Warrior Princess, and Violet of the Incredibles:

Marvel Legends Civil War Scarlet Witch

Marvel Legends Civil War Scarlet Witch

Presenting Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch from the Marvel Legends Captain America Civil War toyline.

To the uninitiated, this is the outfit that the Scarlet Witch wore when Captain America's team went toe-to-toe against Iron Man's team in the airport in Germany where she displayed an ability for short flight, telekinetic strength of incredible proportions, and a penchant for throwing German made cars. This is not the outfit that she is seen wearing at the end of Avengers - Age of Ultron.

For our thoughts on Captain America Civil-War, click here.

Personally we'd love to have had her Age of Ultron "Schoolgirl" look. We thought that it was quite... fetching... and it suited Elizabeth Olsen.

We're certainly looking forward to her return in the Avengers and if her short incarceration on the Raft would have any effects on her mental heath.

Avengers Age of Ultron Scarlet Witch 3.75"

Presenting the Avengers Age of Ultron 3.75" Scarlet Witch action figure.

There is a lot of controversy surrounding Marvel's marketing choice to ignore the creation of female action figures just because they believe boys - referring to 4 year olds which is the target market usually found on the packaging - do not want to play with "dolls."

This belief has even led to the "re-gendering" of the Velociraptors Blue, Charlie, Delta and Echo from Jurassic Park. Their packaging lists them as male, despite the fact that they were female in the movie.

Whoever thought of this idea clearly has never been to a Toycon.

This explains the severe lack of Black Widow and, now, even Scarlet Witch action figures in the market. So when this 3.75" 5-points of articulation Age of Ultron Scarlet Witch appeared in our local Toy's R' Us, we had to grab it.

Marvel Legends Scarlet Witch

Presenting the Scarlet Witch from the Infinite Series of Marvel Legends.

To the uninitiated, the Scarlet Witch or Wanda Maximoff, is one of the most powerful mutant characters in the Marvel Universe - given her ability to manipulate probabilities (Ergo Reality) and her command of Chaos Magic - although if you believe Dr Strange, there is no such thing as Chaos Magic and the Scarlet Witch's powers were supposedly boosted by an unknown cosmic force that shunted them to near god-like levels (She's gone back to "normal" - or so she may want people to think).

The Scarlet Witch is also known as the one who married the toaster (The Vision), had two kids by the toaster (Supposedly the Young Avengers Wiccan and Speed are her children.), and if we remember right was currently in a relationship with a being a pure ionic energy - Wonder-Man, right before he became merged with Rogue - which should create some pretty unique moments of sexual tension within the Avengers Unity squad.

Marvel Universe Scarlet Witch

Presenting the Scarlet Witch Wanda Maximoff from the Marvel Universe Toy-line.

The Scarlet Witch is one of the most controversial characters ever to be created for the Marvel Universe by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Not only is Wanda one of the hottest tails in the Marvel Universe, she's Magneto's daughter! Not only did she serve under him in the Masters of Evil before turning to evil, she chose to marry a toaster over a real person. Then Wanda realized just how powerful she really is and is now one of the most feared mutants on the planet by wiping out first all of the mutants on the planet then later, with the help of Hope Summers, wiping out the Pheonix Force.

The Scarlet Witch is a reality manipulator you do not want to mess with.

And a dear to Photoshop.
