Jan Calleja is an artist.
He's this small guy - really small, but then I'm 6'2 so everyone is small - who did wonders back then with pencils, crayons, pastel and water color. But what he does today is simply magical. He takes completely blank "Virgin" vinyl Munny dolls, re-sculpts them by hand, creatively looks for extensions and add-ons and comes up with what can only be described as art worthy of a museum.
This is what he starts with. A Munny Doll - a vinyl blank slate from Kidrobot that can be purchased on Amazon for around US$ 9.96 (Around PhP 500 plus shipping)

And that becomes this:
You have to love the detail that when into producing this Voltes V Munny doll - particularly at the back which he could have just ignored when you think about it, but which Jan Calleja struggled to build.
This particular Voltes V is a one-off and is a commissioned build - which makes it very rare and very valuable (I'm sure you'll agree). If you want to contact Jan Calleja, look him up on Facebook here. Add him up and you'll spend hours reading the comments that he places in his artworks which includes his creative process. We've actually featured Jan Calleja before. His Zeroman can be seen here:
