To the uninitiated, this is Piotr "Peter" Nikolaievitch Rasputin, AKA Colossus. Colossus has the mutant ability to transform his entire body - not just his skin - into an Osmium-like organic steel. In the process he gains significant mass, growing from 6'6" in height to around 7'5" in height, and weighs t least double his normal weight.
With the armor comes an extremely high resistance to injury and superhuman strength and stamina - supposedly Colossus is in the Class 100 strength level following the realignment of his cells by Magneto due to an injury sustained during the Mutant Massacre. While armored, Colossus requires no food, water or oxygen and is naturally resistant to other forms of energy attacks including temperature extremes, electricity and even magic.
At one time, while in armored form, he was able to kiss Rogue.
Which Marvel constantly forgets.
If we're right there are currently two other variants of this figure in the market. One that comes with a dull gray paint job in a two-pack with the Juggernaut, and one that comes with the X-Men pack which has him with his more classic X-Men uniform. This is his Astonishing X-Men/modern costume.While initially portrayed as a gentle giant, Colossus has the body of a warrior but the heart of an artist - he specializes in painting, but has also dabbled in sculpture. Unfortunately, Colossus has also shown a tendency for rage, has betrayed the X-Men, was one of the Cyclops' Pheonix Five - where he assisted his sister in torturing captured Avengers in Limbo.
But on the other hand, he did sacrifice himself to end the Legacy Virus, and is a bit of a lady's man - he has an unrevealed son in the Savage Land (Fathered during a threesome), got Psylocke to pose naked for him; made out with Rogue; was Domino's boy-toy; was Calisto's lover, and; of course he got Kitty Pryde (at least once). To balance this out, Marvel deemed it fit to make Colossus gay in the Utimates' universe.

FIRST: You have to love the mold and all the striations that had to be worked into his body. These continue down to his hands and the detailing of both the interior and exterior of both hands is simply exquisite.
The paint job is also something to love. The silver and gray paint job does provide him with a metallic hue. He's quite shiny.
SECOND: He's larger than most Marvel Univese action figures at 4.5" tall without having that "Hulked" out appearance of say the Hulk, Red Hulk and Thanos. He's maybe a quarter of an inch smaller than say Juggerlossus or Thanos, but taller than the Red Hulk. Because he doesn't have a disproportionate body, the Marvel Universe Colossus action figure comes with incredibly high articulation.

There is some articulation lost thanks to Colossus' shouder pads, but it doesn't prevent him from being such an intimidating figure:
Look at the incredible balance of this figure. Note that Colossus is standing on just a single peg, yet he's still balanced enough to be posed.

FIRST: He's surprisingly light for such a big character. We would have liked it if he had a bit more heft to him.
SECOND: Colossus did not come with his own stand. It would have been nice if he did.
Other than that he's a great action figure and we have no real qualms about him. Colossus is one of the best Marvel Universe action figures in the Dungeon - up there with the Mighty Thor.
