Marvel Legends Netflix Daredevil Action Figure

To say that the Marvel Legends Netflix Daredevil Action Figure looks good, is an under-statement. 

He looks frickin awesome!

Personally we really didn't hate Affleck's Daredevil, but Charlie Cox's Daredevil has something that Affleck's Daredevil does not have - a suit of armor.

We think that the idea that Daredevil made his suit out of bondage gear.... plausible... but SERIOUSLY!!!

Netflix's idea of Daredevil going out in nothing but a black sweater and jeans til he found the Kingpin's armorer - Melvin Potter AKA Gladiator - is far more romantic and believable - especially since bondage cat-suits really don't provide any protection at all. (And squeak a lot)

The Marvel Legends Netflix Daredevil Action Figure's blister pack reads: "Blinded as a young boy and imbued with extraordinary senses. Matt Murdock fights injustice by day as a lawyer and by night as the Super Hero 'Daredevil'"

According to the Marvel Cinematic Universe Wiki, Daredevil's suit an unidentified light material that was unlike anything Daredevil had ever felt - so it's probably not Kevlar.

He wanted a suit that was a symbol - which is why it resembles the Devil (Hence the red and the horns) and yet was light and durable. The black under-suit portions of the suit provide the base protection for Daredevil and was bulletproof. The red portions were armor reinforced. After receiving a bullet to the head thanks to the Punisher, Potter replaced his cowl with a new carbon nanotube based allow that was supposedly "near indestructible." Daredevil's gloves are also made of a similar alloy for that extra-hard punch. The suit also carries pockets for his arnis or batons and readily fitted his new Billy Club that Potter gave him close to the end of Season 2.

The suit was designed by Ryan Meinerding, Head of the Visual Department of Marvel Studios. It supposedly draws some inspiration from the suit designed for Daredevil by ‎Gabriele Dell'Otto in the Secret Wars story-arc in 2005. It's quite deviation from the comic-book bodysuit that you can see here.

The Marvel Legends Netflix Daredevil Action figure comes with 2 arnis batons that can be combined to form a larger club, and an alternate set of closed fists to replace the fists that can hold the arnis batons.

Out of the night that covers me, black as the pit from pole to pole. 

WHAT'S TO LIKE ABOUT THE MARVEL LEGENDS NETFLIX DAREDEVIL ACTION FIGURE?

FIRST: The beauty is definitely in the details. There's a lot of detailing that you can't really see on television since Daredevil usually only wears the armor at night and he's usually shrouded in shadow - which is why if you google Daredevil cosplay you won't find a lot of Cosplayers who do the Netflix version of Daredevil.

They might now as they finally have a basis.

And the detailing is definitely top class. Daredevil has a "mesh" pattern that goes over his undersuit and armored red parts. The mesh is so intricate that it's still there even in the parts where the armor tapers together - like on his cowl - we think that this is his second cowl by the way (Though we could be wrong) as the forehead portion where he was shot by the Punisher is thicker now (You can see that it now has a slight ridge over his nose.



We're also big fans of the scalloped gauntlets, the armored shin guards and the extra detailing that they put into his holster - see the small ridges at the bottom? They really didn't have to do that.

SECOND: Netflix Daredevil's articulation is excellent. There is some loss of articulation on both shoulders thanks to the thickness of his shoulder pauldrons, but other wise there are no issues.

It's not how you hit the mat. It's how you get up.

And yes, the Marvel Legends Netflix Daredevil Action Figure can kneel:

THIRD: Netflix Daredevil looks great with Elektra - we'll feature Elektra soon.

Not everyone deserves a Happy Ending

WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE ABOUT THE MARVEL LEGENDS NETFLIX DAREDEVIL ACTION FIGURE?

FIRST: Other than the shoulder pauldron problem, the Marvel Legends Netflix Daredevil action figure suffers one little problem that borders on nitpicking - he has no.... ass. As minor as that may seem, it does make some of his poses... awkward. But this is a nitpick. To each his own.

SECOND: Daredevil's billy-clubs are made of soft plastic. They're practically flopping everywhere - especially when you put the two of them together.
